How we help
Relationship coaching
We take a directive, coaching approach. We take the lead in guiding you through the concerns you came with, give you specific steps to take and often some homework.

We will not just sit, nod our heads and ask you once in a while how you feel. We take the time to get to know you, understand your story and build a relationship with you. On that basis, we believe we earn the right to speak into your life.
Why we work this way
Time
You are investing time in this, and so are we. We would rather get to the point as quickly as is practical; it is in no one’s interest to drag things out.
Money
Coaching with a proven professional costs money. The more direction you get, the sooner you gain control of the situation. Leaving concerns to fester can cost more.
Productivity
Coaching is about you, not the coach. When a life changes for the better, it can affect generations to come, and we want our work to count.
Personality
We are both action-oriented, get-it-done people who break a challenge into steps. We also know some things take time, and we have the patience to stay to the end.
Coaching or therapy?
You will benefit from coaching if…
If this list holds some of your own thoughts and experiences, coaching can help. Through relationship coaching you will discover and understand yourself, your desires and your roadblocks, and quickly build an action plan for the change that matters to you.

- As a couple or on your own, you want to improve your relationship
- You have a good marriage, but you want a great one
- You want your relationship to be better, even if your spouse isn’t joining in right now
- The two of you need to communicate better
- You want to do a better job of spending time together
- You want to be closer as a couple but just can’t get there
- You feel you may not be heading in the same direction
- You feel you have been drifting for a long time
- Things have been boring for too long, and neither of you knows what to do
- You feel your spouse hasn’t been attracted to you for far too long
- There are long silences between you, and they aren’t getting better
- There are things you long to talk about, but it’s hard to know how to start
What coaching changes
Coaching helps you set aside the habits, thought patterns and behaviors that have held you back, both on your own and in your relationship. As new patterns lead to a better, more rewarding life and the improvement you’ve been looking for, you’ll find a new focus and more energy for everything else, too.
Counseling and coaching have this in common
- An ongoing, confidential relationship, with a fee for the service
- Clients who genuinely want to change for the better
- One-on-one conversations as the main way of working
